Sunflower Planting Stall at the Fun Run

After getting their well deserved medals, some fruit and a bottle of water, the Lingfield runners came back to Heathfield to enjoy the rest of the Fun Day activities inside due to the rain. The allotment project had a seed planting stall for sunflower growing and lots of information to encourage everyone to get involved with the community garden in the school grounds.

This Year's Lingfield Fun Run

Despite the earlier rain, there was a very good turn out for the 2008 Lingfield Fun Run. The runners set off from Heathfield School led by Street Scene Man and then covered a circuit of the local streets. Community Safety Wardens joined in the event to work as safety marshalls and there was a lot of local support for the rest of the day's activities in the school hall. Well done to all the runners!
